Vacuum Automation
With vacuum, everything sensitive small parts such as chocolate eggs to heavy metal sheets can be handled with exactly the required effort. In addition to application specific suction cups and area grippers, Piab offers compact, customer-specific gripper units that are manufactured in high-quality 3D printing. The centerpiece is the multi-stage COAX® ejector, which generates a vacuum flow three times higher than conventional ejectors and consumes less energy.
Vacuum Conveying
Vacuum conveying systems for powder and bulk goods ensure the continuous filling of production system in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries as well as in the area of additive manufacturing. For use in the pharmaceutical and food industries, all materials that come in contact with the material to be conveyed meet the requirements of the FDA and EC number 1935/2004 and are designed in accordance with the USDA guidelines. They are ATEX certified and offer an auto-tuning control in the SMART version.
Ergonomic Handling
With the ergonomic handling systems from Piab, employees can easily handle heavy loads. This reduces the risk of injury. The number of stress injuries can be significantly reduced, thus reducing absenteeism. With Piab’s vacuum lifters, packages, luggage, sacks and much more can be moved with little effort. The new industry 4.0-capable SMART generation simultaneously records the number and weight as well as the vacuum level of the lifter.
Robotic Gripping
By integrating FEBA and SAS AUTOMATION, Piab offers innovative end-of-arm tools that go beyond vacuum technology. A special modular system enables the simple assembly of various components such as gripper systems and pneumatic pliers for precise transfers.
